Magbibigay ng 660 titles ng lupa ang DENR para sa mga pampublikong paaralan sa 2026

Magpo-rollback ng 660 legal na titles para sa mga site ng pampublikong paaralan sa 2026 ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) upang magbigay ng permanenteng pagmamay-ari sa mga lupa ng paaralan at palakasin ang pundasyon ng sistema ng edukasyon sa bansa. Sinabi ni Environment Secretary Juan Miguel Cuna na mahalaga ang secure na lugar para matuto ang mga bata.

Sa Manila, nag-anunsyo ang DENR ng plano nitong magbigay ng 660 titles ng lupa para sa mga pampublikong paaralan sa 2026. Ito ay joint project kasama ang Department of Education (DepEd), na nagbibigay ng listahan ng mga school sites na nangangailangan ng titling. Hanggang Marso 6, may 44,178 school sites ang nali-list ng DepEd.

Susumikapin ng mga regional at field offices ng DENR ang surveying, mapping, at pag-verify ng boundaries kasama ang mga principal ng paaralan, barangay officials, at community representatives. Matapos nito, i-proseso ang special patents o presidential proclamations sa pamamagitan ng Land Management Bureau.

Bahagi ito ng programang "Handog ng Pangulo: Luntiang Bukas," na tumutok sa pag-secure ng titles, climate-ready homes, green spaces, at forest restoration. "The most important thing we can give our children is a secure place to learn. When a school has a clear title, it is no longer at risk of being taken or disputed," ani Cuna.
