Fight over old pan ends with man dead in Mogi das Cruzes

A dispute over the disappearance of an old pan resulted in the death of Nilton Dias Naganuma in the early hours of June 10 in central Mogi das Cruzes. Two suspects were arrested in flagrante hours later by the São Paulo Civil Police.

Nilton Dias Naganuma was found dead in a public street with multiple head injuries. Another victim suffered facial injuries during the same incident.

Security camera footage showed Adriano da Silva Pereira and Guilherme Ramos walking along the street. One carried an object resembling a wooden handle.

The Civil Police identified and arrested the two suspects in the city center. During questioning they gave different accounts but one admitted participation in the attack.

The indictees face charges of qualified homicide and bodily injury and remained in the custody of the courts. The reported motive was the trivial dispute over the missing old pan.
