Journalism club nurtures talent at Kairi Boys School

The journalism club at Kairi Boys Secondary School in Gatundu North, Kiambu County, continues to develop students in language and communication fields.

Members meet after classes to discuss strategies for advancing the club. Students take part in activities related to teaching, translation, photography and editing.

The club plans to establish a drama unit and launch an official school magazine next year. Participating students have shown success in Swahili and English exams along with greater confidence.

Patron Bi Doreen Kathurima said the club improves KCSE results and progress in oratory and broadcasting. Principal Bw Anthony Mwaria said it prepares students for journalism careers.
