Ayon sa Presidential Communications Office (PCO), “The meeting between the two leaders is an important opportunity for substantive engagement on priority areas of bilateral and broader cooperation.” Nagsalita si Marcos tungkol sa mga pagsisikap na mag-organisa ng representasyon para sa non-resident ambassadors upang palakasin ang ugnayan. Ikinatuwa rin niya ang kasalukuyang kooperasyon sa pamamagitan ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) para sa pagsasanay ng mga manggagawa. Sinabi pa ng PCO na binigyang-diin ni Marcos ang pangangailangan ng bagong partnerships pagkatapos ng pandemya, hindi lamang sa turismo at cultural exchange kundi pati sa people-to-people ties, trade, at investment. Ang mga pinag-eexport ng Pilipinas sa Bhutan ay electronic products, machinery, transport equipment, woodcrafts, at furniture. Samantala, ang mga inimport ay wine, fresh grapes, at virgin olive oil. Noong Nobyembre ng nakaraang taon, 335 na turista mula Bhutan ang bumisita sa Pilipinas, habang 380 noong 2024. Nagtatrabaho ang mga Pilipino sa Bhutan bilang hotel managers.
