The Philippine Coast Guard took part in maritime security drills with the United States Coast Guard and Mexican Navy in Hawaii on July 16 as part of the Rim of the Pacific Exercise 2026.
The exercise involved coordinated boarding operations on the US Coast Guard Cutter Kimball and the Mexican Navy vessel ARM Juárez. It focused on improving tactical skills, communication and interoperability for maritime law enforcement.
PCG Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel also joined a separate multinational rigging exercise. This training was led by the US Navy Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit One and included teams from Japan, Peru, Mexico and New Zealand.
