Nakakuha ng P165 milyong leads sa benta at bookings ang Pilipinas sa tatlong araw na Dive Resort and Travel Show Hong Kong 2025. Pinangunahan ito ng Philippine Department of Tourism-Shanghai, Tourism Promotions Board Philippines, at Philippine consulate general sa Hong Kong. Nagpakita ang delegasyon ng 20 miyembro ng mga dive resort at operator na nagdulot ng HK$21.45 milyong kita.
Noong kamakailan, naganap sa Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre ang Dive Resort and Travel Show Hong Kong 2025, kung saan lumahok ang Pilipinas at nakakuha ng matagumpay na resulta. Ayon sa Philippine consulate general sa Hong Kong, ang delegasyon na binubuo ng 20 miyembro mula sa mga dive resort, live-aboards, at tourism operators ay nagbigay ng HK$21.45 million o P165,034,052.17 sa sales leads at bookings.
"This strong performance underscores the Philippines’ position as one of Asia’s premier dive destinations and highlights the effectiveness of the country’s participation in the region’s largest dive expo," ani consulate.
Itinatag noong 2009, ang DRT Show ay naging pinakamalaking international dive exhibition sa Asia-Pacific, na nag-uugnay ng mga exhibitor mula sa Maldives, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Egypt, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, at Pilipinas, kasama ang malakas na partisipasyon mula sa mainland China, Hong Kong, at Taiwan.
Ang Philippine pavilion ay nag-highlight ng iba't ibang dive destinations tulad ng macro-rich waters ng Anilao, vibrant reefs ng Puerto Galera, at mga lugar tulad ng Cebu, Negros Oriental, Bohol, Masbate, Palawan, at Coron. Kabilang sa mga naipakita ay Buceo Anilao Beach & Dive Resort, Casa Escondida Anilao Resort & Dive Center, Porto Novo Anilao Dive and Leisure Resort, Solitude Acacia Resort sa Batangas; Garden of Eden Dive Resort, Edgewater Dive & Spa Resort, Lalaguna Villas Luxury Dive Resort & Spa, at Casalay Boutique Villas and Dive Resort sa Puerto Galera, Mindoro; Silver Reef Dive Resort, ALDIVE Resort, at Atmosphere Resorts & Spa sa Dauin, Negros Oriental; Kasai Village Dive Resort sa Moalboal at Slam’s Garden Dive Resort sa Malapascua, Cebu; Club Aquasports sa Panglao, Bohol; Easy Diving Philippines sa Sipalay, Negros Occidental; Sea Explorers Philippines sa Visayas; Ticao Island Resort sa Masbate; Narayana Philippine Liveaboard sa Palawan; Earth Explorers Travel and Tours bilang national operator; at Atlantis Dive Resorts and Liveaboards sa Dumaguete at Puerto Galera.
Upang mapahusay ang exhibition, nag-host ang Philippine organizers ng Philippine Dive Night sa OFW Global Centre ng consulate general. Ito ay isang business-to-business networking event kung saan nagkita ang 20 Philippine dive resorts sa 20 Hong Kong-based Chinese tour operators sa timed exchanges. Humigit-kumulang 100 hanggang 120 ang dumalo, na pantay na nahahati sa mga Pilipino sellers at Hong Kong buyers.
Sa kanyang talumpati, binanggit ni Consul General Romulo Victor Israel Jr. ang mga kamakailang panalo ng Pilipinas sa World Travel Awards sa Bahrain, kabilang ang pagiging World’s Leading Dive Destination sa ikapitong sunod-sunod na taon, bilang patunay ng mga strategic efforts sa diving ecosystem ng bansa.
