Noong March 22, 2026, inanunsyo ng Phivolcs na pumasok na sa low-level unrest ang Bulusan Volcano sa Sorsogon, kaya itinaas mula Alert Level 0 patungo sa 1. Naitala nila ang 475 na lindol na bulkaniko mula March 15, karamihan ay mahinang volcano-tectonic earthquakes na nauugnay sa pagbasag ng bato sa mababaw na lalim bawat ilalim ng bulkan. Ayon sa Phivolcs, 'Most of these were weak volcano-tectonic earthquakes that are associated with rock fracturing at shallow depths beneath the volcano edifice.' Swarms ng ganitong lindol ang naghari bago ang phreatic eruptions noong June 2022 at April 2025. Bukod dito, namamaga ang kanluraning bahagi mula katapusan ng Enero at timog-silangang bahagi mula unang linggo ng Marso. 'Overall, these parameters could indicate that shallow hydrothermal processes beneath the volcano are underway that could lead to steam-driven or phreatic eruptions at any of its summit vents,' sabi ng Phivolcs. Dahil dito, ipinahayag na huwag lumapit sa loob ng 4-kilometrong permanent danger zone dahil posibleng panganib tulad ng pyroclastic density currents, ballistic projectiles, rockfall, avalanches, at ashfall.
