Un distributeur d'Amazon Japon va adopter le stablecoin en yen JPYC pour ses paiements

AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings prévoit de rémunérer environ 2 300 partenaires commerciaux et chauffeurs routiers en utilisant le stablecoin en yen régulé JPYC. L'entreprise de logistique cotée à la Bourse de Tokyo, qui travaille avec Amazon Japon depuis 2017, vise à accélérer les flux de trésorerie dans un contexte de pénurie de main-d'œuvre.

La société a déclaré un chiffre d'affaires de 230,5 milliards de yens pour l'exercice clos en mars. Elle utilisera le JPYC pour les frais et autres paiements destinés aux sous-traitants et aux chauffeurs indépendants, dans ce qui est décrit comme le premier déploiement à grande échelle d'un stablecoin en entreprise au Japon. Le JPYC est émis par JPYC Inc. et maintient une parité de 1:1 avec le yen, entièrement adossée à des dépôts bancaires et à des obligations du gouvernement japonais. La circulation dépassait les 2 milliards de yens la semaine dernière. L'entreprise de logistique envisage un partenariat formel avec l'émetteur ainsi qu'un investissement potentiel d'un milliard de yens. Cette initiative fait suite à un projet pilote lancé par la chaîne de supérettes Lawson dans son magasin de Takanawa Gateway City à Tokyo au début du mois d'août.
