Neuf ressortissants bangladais refoulés à l'aéroport OR Tambo en raison de visas falsifiés

Neuf ressortissants bangladais ont été interceptés jeudi à l'aéroport international OR Tambo après que les autorités ont découvert qu'ils étaient en possession de visas sud-africains frauduleux.

Les agents de l'Autorité de gestion des frontières ont intercepté le groupe lors des contrôles d'immigration. Trois femmes ont présenté des passeports bangladais ordinaires tandis que six hommes ont initialement montré des passeports indiens falsifiés. Tous les neuf étaient munis de faux visas sud-africains prétendument délivrés par le Haut-commissariat d'Afrique du Sud à New Delhi. Après interrogatoire, les six hommes ont produit leurs véritables passeports bangladais. Les autorités leur ont refusé l'entrée sur le territoire et ont organisé leur retour au Bangladesh. L'Autorité de gestion des frontières enquête sur l'origine des documents et sur d'éventuels liens avec des réseaux criminels internationaux. La commissaire adjointe, Mmemme Mogotsi, a confirmé les détails concernant la falsification des documents.
