Ocean Vuong inaugure sa première exposition photographique à Kingston

L'auteur Ocean Vuong présente ses photographies pour la première fois lors d'une exposition personnelle au CPW de Kingston, dans l'État de New York. L'exposition, intitulée Ocean Vuong: Sống, se tient jusqu'au 10 mai 2026 et rassemble environ 40 images réalisées entre 2009 et 2025.

L'exposition est née de la tribune publiée par Vuong dans le New York Times en juin 2025 au sujet de ses retrouvailles avec son frère Nicky après le décès de leur mère. Elle associe ces images personnelles à une série que Vuong a photographiée en une seule journée dans l'ancien salon de manucure de sa mère. Les co-commissaires Marina Chao et Adam Ryan ont organisé l'exposition pour mettre en lumière le lien entre l'écriture de Vuong et son travail visuel.
