Capcom to alter Dragonsplague in August Dragon's Dogma 2 update

Capcom plans major changes to the Dragonsplague mechanic in Dragon's Dogma 2 as part of an August update. The update follows the recent release of Title Update 3.1 and precedes the Dark Arisen expansion on October 9.

The August update will introduce a new item called Dragonsbaulk Draught that cures Dragonsplague outright. Pawns will receive new dialogue to alert players about the cure. Afflicted Pawns will gain increased strength and new abilities to stun large enemies. These adjustments follow earlier fixes that slowed the plague's progress and made its effects more visible. Title Update 3.1, already released, added features such as the reusable Eternal Ferrystone and more permanent Portcrystals in locations including Melve and Checkpoint Rest Town. Oxcarts received improvements, and Pawns gained a Guardian specialisation. The Dark Arisen expansion launches October 9 alongside a Switch 2 edition of the game. Additional August changes include new save slots and equipment filters.
