Ethiopian health experts are advising caution in food intake during Eid al-Fitr to avoid health risks. Consuming spoiled food heightens the chance of indigestion, stomach cramps, diarrhea, and other illnesses.
Health experts in Addis Ababa stated on Miyazya 4, 2018 (EFM C) that proper precautions are essential for food intake during Eid al-Fitr. Eating spoiled food significantly raises the risk of indigestion, bloating, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.
The professionals emphasize maintaining hygiene in prepared food without unclean hands and ensuring foods are not spoiled. They advise eating gradually during meals and completely avoiding fatty foods.
Refraining from alcohol is also necessary to protect oneself and family from illness, according to the experts. These measures aim to prevent health issues during the Eid celebrations.
