Italian manufacturer Beta has announced the XTrainer 200 two-stroke motorcycle for 2027. The new model targets riders seeking an easy-to-handle trail bike rather than a race-focused machine.
The XTrainer 200 uses a re-tuned version of Beta’s RR engine design. Changes include revised power valve timing, smaller transfer and exhaust ports, a new piston, and a wider squish band on the cylinder head. Softer clutch springs and optimized ignition further reduce aggression for less experienced or younger riders.
Electric start and electronic oil injection come standard. A low seat height improves fit for smaller riders. The frame has been updated to accommodate the 200 engine while maintaining good handling.
Pricing is set at $8,799 MSRP with availability planned for August. Beta will also offer updated XTrainer 300 and 300 Lowboy models at $8,990 each. The 250 model has been discontinued.
All 2027 XTrainers receive Nissin brakes with a new wavy rear disk, a brighter LED headlight, revised red graphics, an improved chain guide, and a stronger front sprocket guard.
