Egypt launches app to support investors on industrial complaints

The Egyptian Ministry of Industry has launched a new mobile app called Investor Support to simplify submitting and tracking industrial complaints and inquiries. Available on Android and iOS, it offers a direct communication channel with the ministry and industrial development entities. The app aims to speed up responses and improve issue resolution efficiency.

As part of its digital transformation efforts, the Egyptian Ministry of Industry has introduced the Investor Support app to streamline handling of industrial investor complaints. The app connects the ministry to a wide array of government entities, including the ministries of environment, military production, electricity, petroleum, housing, public enterprises, finance, investment and foreign trade, planning and economic development, supply and internal trade, agriculture, and labor, as well as the Central Bank of Egypt and the National Food Safety Authority.

It allows investors to submit complaints related to these bodies and monitor their progress without needing in-person visits. Upon submission, users receive an immediate notification confirming the issue has been forwarded to the relevant authority. When a response is issued, the investor is alerted via the app, with the option to send follow-up reminders for delays.

The 'Profile' section enables tracking of each submission's status and initiating additional reminders. The ministry stated that the app is a key element of its strategy to enhance services for industrial investors and bolster coordination among government bodies involved in industrial development, thereby reducing administrative burdens and processing times.
