Hong Kong Disneyland has rolled out several new measures to help guests and staff cope with high temperatures and humidity during the summer season.
The park introduced a "Summer Chill" ticket option for local residents. This allows entry at 4 PM for 480 Hong Kong dollars, or about 62 US dollars, to avoid peak daytime heat.
Design changes include new quick-service locations like Wayfinders’ Table in Adventureland, built with roof materials and airflow planning to reduce heat. Additional shade structures, misting fans, and around 860 energy-efficient fans have been placed throughout the resort, including mobile units for flexible use.
Other updates focus on hydration and staff support. Forty free water dispensers are available, with nearly half operating at faster speeds. Outdoor workers receive breathable costumes, extra breaks, and access to cooling areas during extreme weather.
Disney also launched the Disney Weather Check app feature through a partnership with AccuWeather. It provides real-time, location-specific updates for visitors at several US resorts including Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
