Autoridades prestam esclarecimentos à comissão sobre voos com menores haitianos

O chefe do Serviço Nacional de Migração do Chile e um subdiretor da PDI apresentaram detalhes sobre crianças haitianas que entraram no país entre 2022 e 2025.

Frank Sauerbaum, diretor do Serviço Nacional de Migração, informou na segunda-feira à Comissão de Família da Câmara dos Deputados sobre 45 voos fretados que transportaram menores haitianos.

Os números mostram 44.047 pedidos de reunificação familiar vindos do Haiti entre 2022 e 2026, resultando em 17.354 benefícios concedidos a menores.

Ricardo Gatica, subdiretor da PDI, afirmou que a instituição apresentou denúncias em abril e outubro de 2024 sobre situações atípicas detectadas durante as entradas.

Gatica acrescentou que 52 dos 64 menores citados em um relatório preliminar da Controladoria foram localizados e que as investigações estão em curso.
