Autoridades exponen ante comisión sobre vuelos con menores haitianos

El director del Servicio Nacional de Migraciones y un subdirector de la PDI presentaron detalles sobre el ingreso de niños haitianos a Chile entre 2022 y 2025.

Frank Sauerbaum, director del Servicio Nacional de Migraciones, informó este lunes a la comisión de Familia de la Cámara de Diputados sobre 45 vuelos chárter que transportaron a menores haitianos.

Los datos indican que se registraron 44.047 solicitudes de reunificación familiar desde Haití entre 2022 y 2026, con 17.354 beneficios concedidos a menores.

Ricardo Gatica, subdirector de la PDI, señaló que la institución presentó denuncias en abril y octubre de 2024 por situaciones inusuales detectadas en los ingresos.

Gatica agregó que ya se ubicó a 52 de los 64 menores mencionados en un informe preliminar de la Contraloría y que las investigaciones continúan.
