Chile convoca reunião regional contra o crime organizado

O Ministério das Relações Exteriores do Chile convocou uma reunião de alto nível para o dia 28 de maio em Santiago, com o objetivo de coordenar ações contra o crime organizado transnacional.

A reunião reunirá ministros das Relações Exteriores e da Segurança da Argentina, Bolívia, Equador, Peru e Chile. O objetivo é chegar a um acordo sobre medidas concretas para a coordenação de fronteiras, troca de informações e o combate ao tráfico de drogas.

O chanceler Francisco Pérez Mackenna afirmou que o crime organizado é um flagelo que afeta a América Latina. “Esta reunião é um primeiro passo para fortalecer nossas fronteiras e combater o crime unidos na região”, declarou.

Pérez Mackenna acrescentou que se espera um plano conjunto com tarefas específicas. Estarão presentes pela Argentina Pablo Quirno e Alejandra Monteoliva; pela Bolívia, Fernando Aramayo Carrasco; pelo Equador, Gabriela Sommerfeld Rosero e Andrés Ribadeneira Brown; pelo Peru, Carlos Pareja e José Zapata Morante; e pelo Chile, Pérez Mackenna juntamente com Martín Arrau.
