O ministro da Fazenda Dario Durigan afirmou nesta sexta-feira que o governo brasileiro teme que o Pix seja vinculado a facções criminosas classificadas como terroristas pelos Estados Unidos e sofra sanções americanas.

Em entrevista à Globonews, Durigan explicou que o temor surgiu após questionamentos ao Pix desde o início da gestão de Donald Trump. Ele citou uma investigação comercial aberta contra o Brasil no ano passado.

O ministro alertou que informações sobre uso do Pix por facções como o PCC e o CV podem levar a ataques ao sistema e punições a empresas. A classificação americana entra em vigor em 5 de junho.

Durigan defendeu cooperação entre autoridades brasileiras e americanas. Ele mencionou a operação Carbono Oculto e conversas com o sistema financeiro desde quinta-feira para evitar impactos em ratings e investimentos estrangeiros.
