Durigan viaja a Washington para reuniões de primavera do FMI

O ministro da Fazenda, Dario Durigan, inicia sua primeira viagem internacional nesta semana para participar das reuniões de primavera do FMI em Washington, de 13 a 18 de abril. A agenda inclui discussões sobre a economia global e os impactos da guerra no Oriente Médio. Ele se reunirá com homologos de China, França e Países Baixos.

Dario Durigan, que substituiu Fernando Haddad no Ministério da Fazenda, chega a Washington na próxima semana para as reuniões do Fundo Monetário Internacional. Os eventos, de segunda-feira (13) a sábado (18), abordarão economia global, criação de empregos e apoio a nações afetadas pela guerra no Oriente Médio, incluindo o conflito no Irã.

Em entrevista nesta sexta-feira (10), Durigan afirmou não ter agenda com o secretário do Tesouro americano, Scott Bessent. Autoridades brasileiras indicam interesse dos Estados Unidos em maior cooperação bilateral. Ele terá reunião bilateral na terça-feira (14) com a diretora-gerente do FMI, Kristalina Georgieva, e participará de encontro do G20 e discussões do G7 sobre minerais críticos.

Durigan também liderará debates sobre a agenda climática brasileira, incluindo o TFFF (Fundo Florestas Tropicais para Sempre), sob a presidência brasileira do G20. Após os EUA, segue para Espanha e Alemanha, com foco em cooperação econômica, temas fiscais e transição ecológica. Na Espanha, espera-se encontro com a comitiva do presidente Lula em Barcelona.
