Prorrogação da formalização de trãs ex-carabineros e 12 civis em Curanilahue até segunda-feira

A formalização de trãs ex-carabineros e 12 civis acusados de pertencer a uma associação criminosa em Curanilahue foi prorrogada até segunda-feira, 18 de maio. Os réus supostamente alteraram provas em locais de tiroteios e faziam parte da "La Banda de los Moto".

Os trãs ex-oficiais dos Carabineros foram presos na quinta-feira, dia 14, na quarta delegacia de polícia em Curanilahue, na província de Arauco, região de Biobío. Segundo a promotora regional Marcela Cartagena, o grupo cometeu tiroteios injustificados, homicídios frustrados e roubos com violão.

O comando da zona de Biobío dos Carabineros informou que o pessoal de assuntos internos vinculou os trãs policiais da Prefeitura de Arauco a supostos atos criminosos. Os réus teriam alterado provas em locais onde ocorreram tiroteios póblicos.

A ministra da Segurança, Trinidad Steinert, elogiou a resposta institucional. As acusações incluem omissão de socorro, obstrução da investigação, associação criminosa, apropriação indébita de subsídios estatais e falsificação reiterada de documentos póblicos. Nove dos 15 detidos já foram formalizados.
