Governo lança plano de 18 milhões de euros para pesquisar a saúde da mulher

Pedro Sánchez anunciou um programa que triplicará o investimento anual em pesquisa biomédica voltada para mulheres para 18 milhões de euros.

O presidente do governo apresentou nesta segunda-feira o programa 'Somos. Contamos: fin de la discriminación de las mujeres en la investigación de la salud'. A iniciativa visa corrigir a histórica falta de pesquisas e os vieses de gênero no campo biomédico.

Sánchez explicou que o plano se concentra em três eixos principais. Ele inclui uma missão específica por meio do Centro para o Desenvolvimento Tecnológico e Inovação, uma nova linha de financiamento para o Instituto de Saúde Carlos III e contratos pré-doutorais na Agência Estatal de Pesquisa.

O programa priorizará o estudo da endometriose, da menopausa e de transtornos de saúde mental, como ansiedade e depressão. Sánchez observou que a iniciativa busca combater uma desigualdade estrutural na pesquisa e inovação biomédica.
