Protestos por moradia marcam as festividades de San Isidro

Dois grupos musicais denunciaram a especulação imobiliária e os despejos durante as festas de San Isidro, em Madri, com o apoio de sindicatos de habitação e referências diretas a líderes regionais e locais.

Os grupos VVV [Tripping' you] e Amor Líquido exibiram faixas com os dizeres “Llenan la Pradera, desahucian Madrid” e “La vivienda nos cuesta la vida” durante suas apresentações na Pradera de San Isidro. Eles colaboraram com o Sindicato de la Vivienda de Carabanchel e o Sindicato de Inquilinas de Madrid, e exibiram um vídeo sobre um despejo realizado a poucos metros do local do festival, em um imóvel que anteriormente pertencia à Comunidad de Madrid.

O grupo Amor Líquido também criticou o governo central. A vocalista Sara Puertas afirmou que “não é questão de que certos políticos tirem proveito de uma luta diante da qual tampouco estão fazendo nada” e convidou o público para uma assembleia na quinta-feira, 14 de maio, às 19h, no número 23 do Camino Alto de San Isidro.

A pregoeira Sonsoles Ónega abriu as celebrações com um discurso que questionou o modelo especulativo. Ela disse “me duele que haya que ser buitre y no paloma para vivir aquí” e descreveu a crise habitacional como “el quejido de Madrid”.
