JIS station officially opens coinciding with Jakarta's 499th anniversary

The DKI Jakarta provincial government inaugurated Jakarta International Stadium station on 22 June 2026. The station began limited operations with a special Rp 1 fare for one week.

JIS station in North Jakarta was inaugurated on Monday, 22 June 2026, as part of Jakarta's 499th anniversary celebrations. KRL Commuter Line services operate daily from 05.30 to 21.00 WIB with 30-minute intervals during this initial phase.

KAI Vice President Corporate Communication Anne Purba stated the Rp 1 fare applies for trips to and from JIS station during the period 22 to 28 June 2026. KAI has also prepared Platform 1 specifically to serve passengers heading to Ancol, Kampung Bandan, and Jakarta Kota stations.

Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi said the station currently has one platform and plans to add more platforms are targeted for completion in 2027. Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Transportation's support in realizing the station.
