O Governo Nacional não prevê cenários de apagões ou racionamento massivo, apesar dos alertas sobre os níveis dos reservatórios. Cerca de 70% da geração de eletricidade provém de usinas hidrelétricas.

As autoridades estão trabalhando com empresas geradoras e entidades reguladoras em 53 medidas que incluem ações regulatórias, monitoramento da geração, campanhas de economia de energia e medidas preventivas. O Governo está avaliando a ativação de usinas termelétricas para preservar as reservas de água.
