Nvidia's DLSS 5 video blocked by Italian network's copyright claim

An Italian television network, La7, has filed copyright claims against Nvidia's official YouTube channel and several content creators over footage from Nvidia's DLSS 5 announcement video. La7 used clips from the video in its own podcast uploaded on April 4, 2026, despite Nvidia posting the original on March 16. The claims have blocked Nvidia's video and others discussing the technology.

La7 issued the claims after uploading its podcast episode 'Coffee Talk 04/04/2026,' which included segments from Nvidia's 'Announcing NVIDIA DLSS 5' video. Content creators such as Scrubing, Last Stand Media, Luke Stephens, and Destin Legarie reported strikes on their DLSS 5 coverage videos, all posted before La7's upload. Nvidia's channel faced the same issue, with its announcement video currently blocked worldwide on YouTube. Destin Legarie highlighted the timeline discrepancy on X, noting his video was posted on March 16, 2026, while La7 acted later. 'I recorded and posted my video on 03/16/2026. LA7 used my content on 04/04/2026 and then filed a copyright on my channel?' Legarie wrote. YouTube explained the claims as automatic Content ID matches, advising creators to dispute and wait up to 30 days for La7's response. Nvidia has not commented publicly on the matter. The incident underscores ongoing criticisms of YouTube's automated copyright system.
