Senador Cherargei propõe salário de 18.000 xelins para agentes comunitários de saúde

O senador de Nandi, Samson Cherargei, solicitou que os agentes comunitários de saúde recebam um salário mensal de 18.000 xelins em vez da bolsa atual de 5.000 xelins.

Ele também apoiou planos para converter os trabalhadores da cobertura universal de saúde em cargos permanentes e com direito a aposentadoria após seis anos de trabalho contratado, declarando que o governo nacional os empregaria caso os governos regionais se recusassem.

O Conselho de Governadores se opôs à medida, citando a necessidade de financiamento suficiente e acordos formais sobre as transferências de folha de pagamento.
