TVN avança com plano de financiamento estatal para sua missão pública

O conselho da TVN e o governo de José Antonio Kast estão avançando com uma comissão para definir um modelo de financiamento misto que garanta a continuidade do canal público.

O presidente do conselho, Patricio Dussaillant, e a diretora executiva, Susana García, estão trabalhando em coordenação para defender o papel público da TVN em meio à crise econômica do canal. Dussaillant declarou: “Tengo la esperanza de que nos podamos alinear todos y que lleguemos, en conjunto, a los acuerdos necesarios sobre un nuevo modelo de financiamiento”.

O Executivo convocou uma comissão especial para avaliar alternativas de financiamento de longo prazo. Dussaillant e o ministro Claudio Alvarado comparecerão à comissão de cultura do Senado no dia 6 de julho para apresentar a situação.

García observou que o Estado deve cobrir custos específicos da missão pública, como as antenas regionais, o sinal internacional e o arquivo histórico. O canal carrega milhões em dívidas e registrou prejuízos de 3,818 bilhões de pesos no primeiro terço de 2026.
