Shopping Center Winifred Mandela nega relatos de assalto à mão armada

A administração do Shopping Center Winifred Mandela refutou relatos de um assalto à mão armada ou tiroteio dentro do centro comercial.

O gerente do centro, Tshepo Monnamore, declarou que o incidente ocorreu fora do complexo. Suspeitos tentaram abandonar um veículo roubado enquanto fugiam da polícia e entraram no local durante a perseguição.

A polícia de Gauteng informou que policiais da patrulha rodoviária localizaram o veículo, que estava ligado a um caso em Norwood. Eles o perseguiram até o shopping em Sandton, onde cinco ocupantes fugiram a pé.

Os policiais prenderam um suspeito e recuperaram o veículo, juntamente com bloqueadores de sinal. Monnamore confirmou que o shopping é seguro e está pronto para retomar as operações normais.
