Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) has resolved over 92 percent of 181 complaints filed during Buen Fin 2025 by the fourth day. More than half of the grievances involve non-compliance with offers, price alterations, and refusal to deliver purchased products. The agency is intensifying efforts in regions with the highest complaint volumes.
By the fourth day of the Buen Fin 2025 campaign, as of 4:00 p.m., Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) has successfully reconciled over 92 percent of the 181 consumer complaints received. These grievances were filed through 169 attention modules, itinerant brigades at 337 commercial points, the Consumer Hotline, and administrative offices.
Profeco's statement emphasizes that 57.4 percent of the cases involve abusive practices such as refusal to deliver paid products, non-compliance with offers and promotions, and price changes at the time of payment. During verification rounds, 28,226 products were monitored, and 5,589 price tags were placed to ensure providers clearly display prices, terms, and conditions, including any quantity or payment method restrictions.
Additionally, the Procedures Directorate of the Deputy Subprocuradorship for Services reviewed 1,554 online advertisements, correcting 18 and removing 14 for potential violations of the Federal Consumer Protection Law.
With one day left in the campaign, 46.9 percent of complaints are concentrated in Mexico City, Mexico State, Michoacán, and Tamaulipas, prompting reinforced surveillance efforts in these areas.
Profeco advises consumers to compare prices and promotions across physical and online stores, read terms and conditions, and check product quality and warranties.
