Santiago municipality reopens heated Olympic pool in O’Higgins Park

The Santiago municipality reopened the heated Olympic pool at O’Higgins Park after investing more than 1.5 billion pesos. The facility will serve over 12,000 monthly users.

The work lasted 14 weeks and covered upgrades to heating, filtration, lighting and restrooms. Digital access controls were also added.

Mayor Mario Desbordes said more than 1.5 billion pesos were spent to renew the facility. Subsecretary of Sport Andrés Otero, Chamber of Deputies president Jorge Alessandri and swimmer Eliana Busch attended the ceremony, where Busch received an honorary plaque.
