Ai-fusket växer kraftigt bland svenska studenter

Universitetskanslersämbetet (UKÄ) rapporterar att antalet avstängningar och varningar för fusk ökade med tre procent mellan 2024 och 2025, till 2 328 studenter. För första gången är otillåten användning av AI-verktyg den vanligaste formen av fusk, med 851 fall 2025.

Universitetskanslersämbetet (UKÄ) sammanställer årligen disciplinärenden vid svenska universitet och högskolor. Efter en treårig nedåtgående trend ökade antalet avstängningar och varningar med tre procent mellan 2024 och 2025, till totalt 2 328 studenter.

Otillåten användning av AI-verktyg stod för 851 fall 2025, upp från 237 året innan. Detta är första gången AI-fusk tar över som den största kategorin, tidigare dominerad av plagiat.

Mindre än en procent av alla studenter åker fast för fusk. Disciplinärenden omfattar också störande beteende och trakasserier utöver fusk.

According to the latest SOM survey from the University of Gothenburg, the share of Swedes chatting with an AI bot weekly rose from 12 to 36 percent between 2024 and 2025. At the same time, skepticism toward AI has grown, with 62 percent viewing it as a greater risk than opportunity for society.
