El fraude mediante IA aumenta considerablemente entre los estudiantes suecos

La Autoridad Sueca de Educación Superior (UKÄ) informa que las suspensiones y advertencias por fraude aumentaron un tres por ciento entre 2024 y 2025, alcanzando a 2.328 estudiantes. Por primera vez, el uso no autorizado de herramientas de IA se convirtió en la forma más común de fraude, con 851 casos en 2025.

La Autoridad Sueca de Educación Superior (UKÄ) recopila anualmente los casos disciplinarios en las universidades y centros de educación superior de Suecia. Tras una tendencia a la baja de tres años, el número de suspensiones y advertencias aumentó un tres por ciento entre 2024 y 2025, sumando un total de 2.328 estudiantes. El uso no autorizado de herramientas de IA representó 851 casos en 2025, frente a los 237 del año anterior. Esto marca la primera vez que el fraude mediante IA se convierte en la categoría principal, superando al plagio. Menos del uno por ciento de todos los estudiantes son sorprendidos cometiendo fraude. Los casos disciplinarios también incluyen comportamientos disruptivos y acoso, además del fraude académico.
