Flytande solcellspark i Taiwan presterar bättre än landbaserad motsvarighet

En flytande solcellsanläggning utanför Taiwans västkust har genererat mer elektricitet och högre vinster än ett närliggande landbaserat projekt i liknande skala. Forskare jämförde de två systemen och fann tydliga fördelar för den havsbaserade versionen trots ytterligare utmaningar.

Chenya Energy färdigställde den 181 megawatt starka flytande solcellsparken på 1,8 kvadratkilometer skyddat buktvatten under 2020–2021. Taiwan Power Company hade byggt ett 100 megawatt stort landbaserat projekt på 1,4 kvadratkilometer året innan, vilket möjliggjorde en direkt jämförelse efter justering för kapacitetsskillnader.
