Skyddsjakt införs efter vargangrepp i Svenljunga

Länsstyrelsen i Västra Götaland har beslutat om skyddsjakt på en varg i Svenljunga kommun efter fyra angrepp sedan den 10 maj.

Under fredagen skadades en ettårig kalv strax sydväst om Örsås. Länsstyrelsen bedömer att en varg orsakat skadorna.

Beslutet innebär att en jaktledare tillsätts som kontaktar lokala jägare i området. Mia Bisther, rovdjurshandläggare på länsstyrelsen, bekräftade beslutet.

Tidigare angrepp i kommunen har drabbat får. Liknande vargangrepp har rapporterats i Trollhättan, Tidaholm och Tidan utanför Skövde.
