Tom Strawson till Badminton Horse Trials med billig före detta galopphäst

Amatörryttaren Tom Strawson gör i vår sin femstjärniga debut i Badminton Horse Trials med Public Address, en omskolad galopphäst som han köpte billigt. Den 37-årige ryttaren kombinerar ett heltidsjobb inom fastighetsbranschen med point-to-point-löp och jakt.

Tom Strawson, en tidigare mästarjockey i Midlands-området, kommer att rida Public Address, kallad Brian, vid Badminton Horse Trials som går av stapeln 6–10 mars. Förra året slutade han på 21:a plats med hästen vid Burghley Horse Trials. Britain’s Tom McEwen secured third place in the five-star dressage at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event with a score of 25.1. Elizabeth Barratt claimed third in the Cosequin Lexington CCI4*-S class scoring 29.7. Both riders praised their horses after tests on 24 April.

American rider Boyd Martin has pulled out of next month's Mars Badminton Horse Trials with his horse Miks Master C after it came up sore at a recent event.
