Mamlaka ya Mapato ya Kenya (KRA) imesema kuwa walipa kodi wanaweza kufungua ripoti za kodi sifuri kwa kutumia simu za mkononi baada ya Machi 31. Hata hivyo, wale walioajiriwa au wanaofanya biashara wanaweza kukutana na changamoto. KRA imetuma taarifa za SMS kwa wafanyikazi kuhusu mfumo mpya wa ripoti zilizojazwa awali.

Lakini bado lazima usubiri baada ya Machi 31 kufanya hivyo.” Hata hivyo, KRA iliongeza kuwa, “Ikiwa umeajiriwa au unafanya biashara, kufungua ripoti za kodi kupitia simu ya mkononi kitakuwa changamoto.” Maelezo haya yametolewa wakati Kenyans wanaandaa msimu wa kawaida wa kufungua ripoti za kodi. KRA imeanza kutuma taarifa za SMS kwa wafanyikazi kuwaeleza jinsi ya kufungua ripoti kwa urahisi zaidi na haraka. Mifumo mipya ya ripoti zilizojazwa awali inachukua moja kwa moja maelezo ya mapato kutoka kwa mishahara. Mwisho wa kufungua ripoti ni Juni 30, na KRA inawahimiza walipa kodi kufanya mapema ili kuepuka msongamano wa mwisho. Ripoti hii ilichapishwa Machi 19, 2026 na Joseph Ogungo.
