Mbunge wa Mwala anadai hatua dhidi ya OCS wa Mbiuni juu ya madai ya uhalifu

Mbunge wa Mwala Vincent Musyoka Kawaya ametoa wito wa hatua dhidi ya Afisa Mkuu wa Kituo cha Polisi (OCS) Francis Mutua wa Mbiuni kutokana na madai ya uongozi wa kundi la wahalifu na biashara haramu. Madai haya yalitolewa katika mkutano wa usalama uliofanyika sokoni la Mbiuni tarehe 18 Februari 2026. Kawaya alisema atachukua haki mwenyewe ikiwa serikali haitachukua hatua mara moja.

"Imekuwa miaka 10 tangu siku zote nisimamize afisa yoyote. Ninaongea mara chache, lakini ninaposema, nina maana," Kawaya alisema.

Aidha, mbunge huyo alimtuhumu Mutua kwa kushiriki katika biashara ya bangi pamoja na maafisa watatu wengine wa polisi, na kusambaza dawa hiyo hadi maeneo mengine ya Jimbo la Mwala. Kawaya alidai kuwa madai yake yanategemea taarifa zilizothibitishwa. Pia, alidai kuwa OCS anaruhusu uvunaji haramu wa mchanga, na hata akauza mchanga uliowekwa kizuizini polisini, jambo alilofafanua kama ukiukaji wa sheria.

"Hatuwezi kuwa na hali ambapo polisi, ambao wanatakiwa kutulinda, wanakuwa wahalifu," Kawaya aliongeza. Madai haya yalungwa mkono na MCA wa Wadi ya Mbiuni Peter Kilonzo na MCA wa Mwala Brian Kisila, waliotaka uchunguzi wa haraka. Wakati wa kuwasiliana naye, OCS Mutua hakuthibitisha wala kukataa madai hayo, akisema tu kuwa hana ruhusa ya kuzungumza na waandishi wa habari.

Sasa, suala hili limewasili kwa uongozi mkuu wa polisi, huku shinikizo likiongezeka kutoka kwa viongozi waliochaguliwa na wakazi kwa uwajibikaji na hatua za haraka katika mfumo wa usalama wa Mwala.
