Rais Ruto alitetea agizo hilo Alhamisi wakati wa mkutano wa pili wa elimu uliofanyika Naivasha. Alisema malipo ya kidijitali yatawezesha kuthibitisha taarifa na kupunguza upotevu wa fedha taslimu.

“Leo, mzazi anapaswa kulipa karo akiwa nyumbani kupitia e-Citizen, ambapo tunaweza kuthibitisha taarifa hizo,” alisema Ruto. Alisisitiza kuwa serikali haitashughulika tena na pesa taslimu kwa sababu ni ngumu kufuatilia.

Mshauri wa sera Boaz Waruku wa Elimu Bora Working Group alisema mfumo huo utawabana wazazi wanaolipa karo kwa njia ya mazao, chakula au kazi za mikono. Alionya kuwa watoto wengine wanaweza kukosa elimu kutokana na shinikizo la serikali.
