Maswali yanaibuka Ruto akidandia mradi uliozinduliwa na Nyoro Murang’a

Rais William Ruto amekabiliwa na maswali wakati wa ziara yake ya siku mbili katika Kaunti ya Murang’a, ambapo alizindua kituo cha ICT na mabweni katika Chuo cha TVET Kiharu, mradi uliozinduliwa awali na Ndindi Nyoro Machi. Wakosoaji wanasema alijipigia debe mradi wa wengine, huku video ikionyesha kibao cha uzinduzi wa Nyoro kimefunikwa. Ruto aliwahimiza wananchi wa Mlima Kenya wamuunge mkono kwa muhula wa pili 2027.

Rais William Ruto alifanya ziara ya siku mbili katika Kaunti ya Murang’a, akizindua na kukagua miradi mbalimbali. Kiini cha mzozo ni Chuo cha Ufundi na Mafunzo ya Kiufundi (TVET) cha Kiharu. Mnamo Machi, Ndindi Nyoro alizindua taasisi hiyo baada ya kukamilika kwa jengo la Mwai Kibaki. Wakati wa ziara ya Ruto Ijumaa, kibao kilichoonyesha uzinduzi wa Nyoro kilifunikwa, kama inavyoonekana kwenye video.

Ruto alikashifu wakosoaji wake akisema: “Wale jamaa wanajaribu kushindana na sisi ni watu wa matusi mengi, kisirani mingi, hasira mingi, lakini kazi hawajui, mpango hawana, ajenda hawana, sera hawana.” Alisisitiza maendeleo yake: “Ata waniite Kasongo, si barabara inaendelea, pamoja na shule na stima?” Naibu Rais Kithure Kindiki aliwahimiza wafuasi: “Ni tutam si tutam? Rais Ruto aendelee asiendelee?” Kiongozi wa Wengi Kimani Ichung’wah alisema: “Najua matusi umetukanwa vile sisi tumetukanwa. Lakini hata tukiitwa watoto tutazingatia maisha ya wananchi wa Kenya.”

Waziri wa Ardhi Alice Wahome alimshauri Nyoro arejee serikalini, kauli iliyopata upinzani. Baadhi ya wakazi walidharibu vifaa vyenye nembo ya UDA. Viongozi wa upinzani kama Rigathi Gachagua wamekosoa ziara kama propaganda na uzinduzi wa miradi isiyokuwa na bajeti. Seneta Joe Nyutu hakuhudhuria akisema ni kampeni zaidi.

Ruto alizindua miradi mingine ikiwemo barabara ya Kiriko-Kagumo-ini-Gitugi-Karugia, nyumba za bei nafuu Kandara na Gatanga, upanuzi wa Hospitali ya Kenneth Matiba, na ukaguzi wa masoko na uwanja wa Mumbi. Alidai bei ya kahawa imepanda kutoka Sh60 hadi zaidi ya Sh110 kwa kilo.
