The Unión de Trabajadores del Turismo, Hoteleros y Gastronómicos de la República Argentina (Uthgra) reached an agreement with the Cámara Argentina de Concesionarios de Refrigerios (Cacyr) and the Cámara de Empresas de Servicios de Comedores y Refrigerios (Caecsal) for staggered salary increases from March to June 2026. The deal covers workers under Convenio Colectivo de Trabajo 401/05 in public and private cafeterias. It features monthly basic wage adjustments and temporary non-remunerative bonuses.
The Uthgra formalized a new salary recomposition scheme for public and private cafeteria workers, effective from March to June 2026. The agreement sets monthly increases in basic wages for categories outlined in Anexos I and II of the collective agreement.
For Category 1, covering kitchen hands, dishwashers, gardeners, and watchmen, public cafeterias start at $1,253,380 basic plus $30,177 non-remunerative in March, reaching a consolidated $1,323,984 by June. In the private sector, it begins at $1,274,357 plus $30,682, ending at $1,346,143.
Intermediate and higher categories see proportional rises. Category 4, including waitstaff, administrators, and cashiers, exceeds $1,548,000 in public and $1,565,000 in private by June. Category 7, for head chefs and level C nutritionists, concludes at $2,298,392 in both sectors.
Non-remunerative amounts from the first three months integrate into the basic pay in June and influence conventional add-ons, as noted by the union. The pact aims to offset inflationary pressures on workers' earnings.
