اختُتم المؤتمر السنوي المشترك العاشر بين الاتحاد الأفريقي والأمم المتحدة في مقر الاتحاد الأفريقي بأديس أبابا، بمشاركة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش ورئيس مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي محمود علي يوسف. وقد أصدر المشاركون بياناً مشتركاً من 26 نقطة، أكدوا فيه التزامهم بالتعاون في مجالات السلم والأمن وحقوق الإنسان والتنمية المستدامة، مع المضي قدماً في تنفيذ أجندة الاتحاد الأفريقي 2063 وأهداف التنمية العالمية لعام 2030. وناقش القادة النزاعات الراهنة في جميع أنحاء أفريقيا وشددوا على الحاجة إلى حلول دبلوماسية. كما تعهدوا بالعمل من أجل توفير تمويل موثوق لعمليات حفظ السلام التابعة للاتحاد الأفريقي، ودعوا إلى إصلاحات هيكلية في المؤسسات المالية الدولية. واتفقوا على تقديم موقف أفريقي موحد في اجتماعات مجموعة العشرين ومجموعة السبع بشأن آثار الصراع في الشرق الأوسط على الاقتصادات الأفريقية والأمن الغذائي وإمدادات الطاقة. ووجه رئيس مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي الشكر لغوتيريش على إسهاماته في دعم السلام والتنمية في القارة.
