تستدعي لجنة الأمن الداخلي في مجلس النواب الأمريكي الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة Instructure، ستيف دالي، للإدلاء بشهادته حول الهجمات السيبرانية التي تعرضت لها منصة Canvas التعليمية، والتي أدت إلى كشف بيانات ملايين الطلاب والمعلمين.

أرسلت اللجنة، التي يرأسها النائب أندرو غاربارينو، خطاباً إلى شركة Instructure تطلب فيه الحصول على تفاصيل حول الاختراقين اللذين نفذتهما مجموعة القراصنة ShinyHunters. وقع الاختراق الأول في 29 أبريل، والثاني في 7 مايو، مما أتاح الوصول إلى أسماء المستخدمين وعناوين البريد الإلكتروني ومعلومات الدورات الدراسية والرسائل في أكثر من 9000 مؤسسة تعليمية.
