Comitê da Câmara dos EUA exige depoimento do CEO da Instructure sobre ataque ao Canvas

O Comitê de Segurança Interna da Câmara dos EUA convocou o CEO da Instructure, Steve Daly, para depor sobre ataques cibernéticos à plataforma educacional Canvas, que expuseram dados de milhões de estudantes e professores.

O comitê, liderado pelo deputado Andrew Garbarino, enviou uma carta à Instructure buscando detalhes sobre as duas invasões realizadas pelo grupo hacker ShinyHunters. A primeira ocorreu em 29 de abril e a segunda em 7 de maio, permitindo o acesso a nomes de usuário, endereços de e-mail, informações de cursos e mensagens de mais de 9.000 instituições.
