Une commission de la Chambre des représentants exige le témoignage du PDG d'Instructure sur le piratage de Canvas

La commission de la Sécurité intérieure de la Chambre des représentants des États-Unis demande au PDG d'Instructure, Steve Daly, de témoigner au sujet des cyberattaques ayant visé la plateforme éducative Canvas, lesquelles ont exposé les données de millions d'élèves et d'enseignants.

La commission, dirigée par le représentant Andrew Garbarino, a adressé une lettre à Instructure pour obtenir des précisions sur les deux intrusions perpétrées par le groupe de pirates informatiques ShinyHunters. La première a eu lieu le 29 avril et la seconde le 7 mai, permettant d'accéder aux noms d'utilisateur, aux adresses électroniques, aux informations sur les cours et aux messages au sein de plus de 9 000 établissements.
