الوزير كاغوي يؤكد أن ضريبة الشاي الجديدة لن تؤثر على دخل المزارعين

أكد وزير الزراعة موتاهي كاغوي لمزارعي الشاي أن ضريبة التصدير الجديدة البالغة 0.8 في المئة لن تؤدي إلى خفض أرباحهم.

قال الوزير كاغوي إن الضريبة التي فرضها مجلس الشاي الكيني سيدفعها المصدرون فقط. وأضاف أن 50 في المئة من الإيرادات المحصلة ستستخدم لحماية وتحسين أرباح المزارعين. وتطبق ضريبة الـ 0.8 في المئة على الشاي المباع من خلال المزادات أو الصادرات المباشرة. وسيدفع المستوردون من الخارج 100 في المئة من قيمة الشاي المصنع لحماية المزارعين المحليين. ولن تتأثر تعاونيات صغار المزارعين والمستهلكون المحليون بهذه الضريبة. ومن المتوقع أن تجمع هذه الضريبة 1.42 مليار شيلينغ سنوياً من الصادرات والواردات.
