وجهت لجنة برلمانية الجامعات والكليات بتقديم توضيحات كاملة حول استخدام الأموال العامة خلال مراجعة تقارير المراجع العام.

عُقد الاجتماع في 14 يوليو، وشاركت فيه لجنة الاستثمارات العامة للحوكمة والتعليم. ومن بين المؤسسات التي مثلت أمام اللجنة جامعة الملتيميديا وكلية نيفاشا التقنية والمهنية.

وأكد النائب عن دائرة كاسيبول، بويد وير، على ضرورة التعاون الكامل من قبل مسؤولي المحاسبة، مشدداً على وجوب معالجة استفسارات التدقيق بشكل شامل.

من جانبه، أشار الرئيس ديك مونغو إلى أن تقارير المراجع العام تهدف إلى التحقق مما إذا كانت الأموال العامة تُستخدم بشكل سليم، مؤكداً أنه يتعين على المؤسسات تفسير أي فجوات واتخاذ التدابير التصحيحية اللازمة.
