قدم وزير المالية أحمد شيدي الخطة المالية البالغة 2.34 تريليون بير إلى البرلمان يوم الخميس الموافق 11 يونيو 2026. يعادل هذا المبلغ 107 دولارات للفرد الواحد، وهو رقم يقل بست مرات عن كينيا التي تبلغ ميزانيتها 632 دولاراً للفرد، ويأتي خلف أوغندا بـ 488 دولاراً، وتنزانيا بـ 335 دولاراً، وبوروندي بـ 156 دولاراً. وتغطي الميزانية شريحة سكانية كبيرة تظل فيها القوة الشرائية العامة للفرد متواضعة.
