Ein Jahr nach dem Absturz des Air-India-Flugs AI-171 in Ahmedabad kämpft die Familie Khimani weiterhin mit dem Verlust des 35-jährigen Anil Khimani, des zuletzt identifizierten Passagieropfers.

Anil Khimani, ein erfahrener Handwerker aus dem Dorf Dahinsara in der Region Kutch in Gujarat, kam beim Absturz des Air-India-Flugs AI-171 kurz nach dem Start in Richtung London Gatwick am 12. Juni 2025 ums Leben. Bei dem Flugunglück kamen 260 Menschen ums Leben, darunter 241 an Bord und 19 am Boden. Seine sterblichen Überreste wurden am 27. Juni 2025 nach wochenlangem Warten auf einen DNA-Abgleich identifiziert.
