Somerville übernimmt die neu geschaffene Position des stellvertretenden technischen Direktors und berichtet an den technischen Leiter David Sanchez. Bei Alpine trifft er wieder auf Geschäftsführer Steve Nielsen, mit dem er bereits bei der FIA und dem Formel-1-Management zusammengearbeitet hat.
